Blog Post #1: Teacher Resource Sharing Site Review

Basically, this website provides lesson plans, materials, jog board, and ELT news feed on the main menu. Above all, this site would be helpful not only for foreigners teaching English in other countries but for non-native teachers as long as English is considered as a foreign language in the countries. Firstly, Lesson plans are divided as levels of students, and materials can be facilitated according to various themes and skills. Foreigners looking for teaching jobs in abroad can find some practical information about the jobs and the countries and recent news about teaching English.

When I busy looking for some materials or resources for my lesson, it was the most frustrating to find an appropriate website, join it, log in and search for them according to the proper grade, level, and theme, because it takes so much time to get through all those processes. Especially, if I visit the website at first time, it takes pretty much time to fill all my information and find valid ID and password. However, this website doesn't requires log-in but rather anyone could access it and freely search for what they need.

Sometimes, It costs some to get good resources. In addition, it says we should pay in U.S. dollars marked on it. Even though it is not right to just spread out the lesson plan made by someone with their own ideas and efforts, it really discourages me, non-native speaker not living in U.S., to just give up searching for further information. However, in this website, you don't have to worry about the costs but rather it serves us all the materials and information freely.

Moreover, some lesson plans provide ice-breakers, preparations and even follow-on activity so teachers can utilize according to their faculty, students' proficiency and various teaching environment.

Finally, as a teacher, I would practically utilize this website to get great ideas and resources.
